IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STORYTELLING METHOD USING POP UP BOOK MEDIA IN STIMULSTING CHILDREN’S LANGUAGE SKILLS
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to describe the process of implementing the storytelling method using pop up book in stimulating children's language development. This study uses a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach with the research subject of four teachers in class B. Data collection tools that researchers use in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The storytelling method using pop up book in stimulating children's language development has four stages, namely preparation, the teacher adjusts the child's sitting position in a circle. The second opening, the teacher explores the child's experience according to the theme of the story. Third, the teacher begins to tell stories and the fourth is closing, namely, the teacher asks questions about the content of the story and the child retells the story.
