ANALYSIS OF GADGET USE ON SOCIAL EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the use of gadgets on children's social emotional development. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. Planning is compiled and designed systematically and then analyzed qualitatively after conducting interviews and field observations then the results of observations and interviews are analyzed further. The results of the research that has been carried out are the social emotional development of children is not optimal where the indicators of self-awareness. The children's social-emotional development is not yet optimal due to several factors, one of which is the use of gadgets provided by the child's parents so that it hampers the child's social-emotional development, there is a lack of socializing with the environment, the child is less or unable to express himself because he is busy with his activities. Parents in limiting the use and duration of gadget use have been done quite well, the impact of using gadgets in the short term or in the long term is that children become social misinteractions with other people or are less concerned with the surrounding environment and giving gadgets to children who cry is not a solution for children silent because the negative impact of using gadgets is more for children both in terms of addiction, children's social attitudes with the environment and friends as well as negative effects on the child's own health
